I am an illustrator, a painter, an animator, and a filmmaker. I enjoy any opportunity I have to tell a story. The stories I create delve into various forms of conflict, romance and even inspirational moments.

In my past work, I have painted up close renditions of grotesque faces. I have also illustrated awkward looking figures that live in surreal landscapes. Usually my art focuses on the unattractive side of things. I enjoy accentuating the overall quirks we all may hide as a society. My art is sometimes cynical, but pleasing to view for the audience.

My goal is for viewers to be immersed in a fascinating story. These stories include an engaging narrative that is character based. Where are the characters going? What are they doing? This narrative concept is a simple starting off point for me to interact with the viewer. I like to see myself transforming into these fictional characters. How do these characters interpret the world when everything surrounding them is a caricature? I want the audience to consider the definition behind a caricature – and what it means to enhance ones true form.

Recently, I have created a stop-motion animated video utilizing paper cut-outs. The cut-outs are in the form of figures and inanimate objects. They are illustrated with exaggerated physical features resembling that of a caricature. First the characters are sketched, inked, colored with pencil crayons and finally cut out for use. They are placed on backgrounds crafted using bright oil pastels and neon construction paper. Finally they are animated to create an original scene.
